From BWIM: Currently shared learning experience opportunities take the form of Book Clubs and Lunch and Learn sessions. We are working to create more opportunities for women to grow their leadership, ministry skills, and theological perspectives in community with one another. The following is a list of current opportunities.

From the CBFNC Annual Gathering website: *NEW THIS YEAR* Join us for a special Seminarian Network Lunch on Friday, March 28 during Annual Gathering. Lunch will take place at a local restaurant near Pritchard. There is no cost but we need to know who to expect. Select “Divinity School Event” on the Annual Gathering registration form to attend. You may also be our guest for Thursday’s dinner. To do so, select the “Thursday Dinner” package option and enter the promo code found on the form during check-out. If you wish to attend other portions of Annual Gathering, you must also register for those separately.

Monday, March 3rd (before midnight) - MDiv and MACM students who have received Keesee grants for previous academic years and are applying for another grant for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Tuesday, April 1st (before midnight) - MDiv and MACM students who are interested in applying for a Keesee grant for the first time.
Thursday, May 1st (before midnight) – DMin students who have received Keesee grants for previous academic years AND DMin student applying for a grant for the first time.
As a reminder, students eligible to receive Keesee are:
Be a United States citizen; and
Be a resident of an eligible state (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, or West Virginia) for twelve consecutive months immediately prior to enrolling at your school without being enrolled in any educational institution; and
Be a member of a Baptist church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Baptist General Associate of Virginia, a state or national Baptist Convention, or Original Free Will Baptist; and
Take one qualified class (on-campus, hybrid, practicum, mentored internship, equip class or class at an extension center) each semester (a minimum of three hours each semester); and
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Addie Davis Scholarship

Applications Open: January 15 - March 27, 2025
Named in honor of the first Southern Baptist woman ordained to the gospel ministry, Addie Davis Scholarships provide financial support for Baptist women enrolled in seminary (any degree) to pursue a calling to ministry and leadership. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
● Be female with membership in a Baptist church (affiliation with any Baptist denominational organization/group is acceptable)
● Be enrolled full-time in a program at an ATS accredited seminary or divinity school (MDiv, MA, Th.M. etc.). Enrollment at a Baptist-affiliated school is not required.
● Articulate and provide evidence of a sense of calling to ministry and leadership among Baptist communities. Use this space to add more details about your site, a customer quote, or to talk about important news.
The Blackwell Memorial Scholarship
Grants will be awarded to applicants according to the following priorities: first priority to persons who are members of the First Baptist Church of Winston Salem and are North Carolina residents; second priority to persons who are Forsyth County, North Carolina residents and members of Forsyth County North Carolina Baptist Churches; third priority to all other persons who are residents of North Carolina and members of North Carolina Baptist Churches.
Grants will be awarded based on all Application materials (application, estimated budget form, attachments, personal references, and academic record) and required priorities described above.
Applications and supporting documents should be mailed to First Baptist church, 501 West Fifth Street, Winston Salem, NC 27101 or emailed to the chairman of the Scholarship Committee at scholarship@firstonfifth.org, and be received by 12:00 noon on Friday, May 2, 2025. Awards will be announced before July 1, 2025.
